Student of the Quarter:
Alex Jacobson, a senior at BHS, was chosen as a quarter 1 student of the month. “Alex was chosen because of his quality work and effort in classes. His attention to detail and insights in writing assignments have impressed his teachers. His improvement in attendance has been noticed, along with his higher grades. Earlier this quarter, he showed determination and resourcefulness in advocating for himself to stay in a class he was interested in,” reported Mrs. Cerise, his science teacher. Alex feels education is important because “it allows us to advance as a society.” “Hard work is necessary because you can’t get through life on the work of others,” commented Alex. He advises others to achieve their goals by breaking them down into smaller parts. While Alex is not in school, he enjoys tinkering with engines and farming. He is the son of Alan and Shelley Jacobson.

Student of the Quarter:
Adelyn Peterson, daughter of Justin and Anna Peterson, was chosen as a student of the quarter in grades 7 – 12. Addi was chosen because she shows incredible responsibility and dedication. “She is always keeping up with her schoolwork despite being sick, having a busy cross-country schedule and attending many other extracurricular activities. She is the first to lend a helping hand to her classmates, checking in to make sure they have everything they need and showing genuine care for everyone around her. Her kindness and positivity brighten our school every day,” expressed Mrs. Nelson, one of Addi’s teachers. Addi commented that it is important to work hard. “You get out what you put in, so if you try hard, you get good things out of it,” reported Addi. She advises others, “Try hard and do not give up. Think with the end in mind!” Addi stated that education is important to get an excellent job. Adelyn is involved in FBLA, pep club, and sports all year long. If she has free time, Addi can be found coloring and playing sports. Addi is a seventh-grade student at Bowbells.

Student of the Quarter:
Teagan Lucy, daughter of Travis and Joy Lucy, was a student of the quarter at Bowbells School. Teagan started the year with a positive attitude. “She is always willing to work hard without complaint. She is respectful to her teachers and peers; always using her manners!” exclaimed Miss Wangler, Teagan’s teacher. Teagan stated coming to school is important to learn, so she can attend college when she graduates. She advises, “Work hard so you do well in life.” Teagan enjoys reading. When she is not in school, she enjoys riding horse. Teagan is in fifth grade.

Student of the Quarter:
Kyson Jager, a first-grade student at Bowbells, was a student of the quarter. Kyson was chosen by his teacher for his positive attitude toward learning. Mrs. Hanson replied,” Kyson is engaged in classroom discussions, a great friend to others, and always tries to find ways to push himself. I can always count on him to be a Role Model in the classroom!” Kyson enjoys coming to school to learn and feels working hard is important to get good grades. “Work hard so you learn new things,” advised Kyson. Kyson stated math is his favorite subject. When Kyson is not in school, he enjoys playing Fortnite. Kyson is the son of Brandi and Lance Jager.
