Message to parents.
You may be eligible to receive P-EBT benefits for your school-aged children this summer. Children who received free or reduced-price lunch through the National School Lunch Program and were attending school at the end of the 22-23 school year. If your children are not currently eligible but might be for the 2023-2024 school year, you are encouraged to complete the P-EBT application and submit a Free/Reduced-Price application by August 25, 2023. Contact the school where your children will be attending for an application form.
This year parents/guardians must complete an application to receive Summer P-EBT. The application can be completed online at https://ndsummerebt.nd.gov/
If you can't complete the application online, you can get a paper application by sending an email to snap-pebt@nd.gov or downloading it from our website. For more information regarding Summer P-EBT email snap-pebt@nd.gov or call 701-328-2732.

The Bowbells Public School celebrated beef month. We were honored to have Grace Ones explain her role as the 2023 Angus Princess. We also had Josh and Kari Cook with Sunset Meats talk about beef production. We currently use Sunset Meats for our Beef to school program. We were honored to have them all speak to us and answer questions we had.
All elementary kids also received an activity booklet from the ND Beef Commission.

Lemonade Benefit!

Carver Undhjem placed 3rd in the Burke County Math Meet! He competed against 14 other fourth grade students from Burke County in the areas of Basic Math, Geometry, Word Problems, Odds and Ends and Measurement. He has worked hard this year in Math and has definitely earned this 3rd place award! We are so proud of how hard he has worked this year!

Thank you to Bowbells teachers! You all are amazing individuals and we appreciate everything you do for our students! We have the best!!

Congratulations to Tucker Timm for winning the triple crown, 1st in folkstyle, 1st in freestyle and 1st in Greco!!

Congratulations to the following students for earning awards at State Speech.
Junior, Mya Woodbeck finished 6th in Dramatic Interpretation Woodbeck and also All-State Award
Sophomore, Braeden Carlberg finished 7th in Humorous Interpretation.
Senior Luke Crosby received a Superior Speaker medal in Radio for tying to advance to Finals.

Shout out to our bus drivers...Barb, Greg, Tammy, Cyle, and anyone else that transports our students safely to and from school and any activity our kids have! You are so appreciated!!!

The Bowbells Speech Team earned 132 points to win the Region 9 Speech meet with 20 entries advancing to finals.
Qualifying for State with first place wins were the following:

Cambry Ankenbauer in Speech to Persuade
Braeden Carlberg in Humorous
Ann Crosby in Programmed Reading.
Second place winners who also qualified for the State competition were—

Due to poor roads and visibility issues, there is no school today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!!
